A self directed residency program for the duration of seven weeks. Roundtable Residency has been conducted via correspondence this year, so all meetings and critiques have taken place over Zoom calls.

2016 Stone House Collaboration, Cypress Hills, AB

This residency was started by artists who had previously attended the Emma Lake artist residency. Smaller in size than Emma Lake, but along the same premise, the Stone House Artist Collaboration is a group of twenty-five invited artists spending the duration of a week in the Cypress Hills. This residency encourages collaboration and work inspired by site location and materials readily available.

EXPERIENCE

F&D Scene Changes September 2020 — March 2021

I was working in the painting department at F&D Scene Changes. I was primarily working on a contract for Disney which my principle tasks were painting and sculpting realistic woodgrain.

Throughout my time at F&D I gained immense experience in colour mixing, scenic painting, knowledge of using a gravity gun, bodywork (i.e. patching, dremelling, sanding), laying vinyl, and overall improvement of my teamwork and communication skills. I have a much better understanding of the labour and effort that goes into large scale projects.

Archival Assistant at Stride Gallery February 2019 — June 2019

Independent project in which I organized all of Stride’s publication materials into logical categories. The project also included the curation of two different shelves of reading materials surrounding a specific idea with accompanying curatorial texts.

Co-Operator of The Lily July 2017 — June 2018

Aided in the set up of the gallery space, evolving a basement with no windows into a contemporary art project space. Responsibilities have included promoting openings through social media, bartending for events, creating custom cocktails for openings, printing posters, striking and installation of artist work, general support for artists in any way possible, budgeting, gaining an understanding of the curation process, and the opportunity to meet different artists and people involved in Calgary’s art community

Studio Assistant for Dana Buzzee July 2018

Aided Buzzee in the sewing of her large-scale, fibre chain link fence for her residency at The Ledge gallery in Calgary, AB.
